NanoConjugates
NanoConjugates are based on the variable domain of heavy chain only antibodies, linked to a reporter protein.
Their small size, defined labelling and reproducibility cause convincing benefits over standard antibody conjugates.

Standard Antibody Conjugate
~150 kDa
Mixture of polyclonal antibodies
isolated from different immunized animals:
unknown composition and limited reproducibility.
Acridinium as reporter molecule for detection:
covers the whole antibody including antigen binding sites.
Animal welfare unclear.

NanoConjugate
~50 kDa
Monoclonal (sequenced), controlled
Expression in E. coli:
very high reproducibility guaranteed
and binding properties well characterised.
Acridinium as reporter molecule for detection:
covers only the linked reporter protein.
Binding site stays fully accessibel.
No animals involved in production process.
